Arthritis of the Lower Limb: Modern Advances in Management

CPD Gateway is pleased to announce another event in Cheshunt, taking place this September. This evening course, hosted by Consultant Hip, Knee and Sports Surgeon, Mr Joyti Saksena, will look at arthritis in the hip and knee joints, with focus on biological joint reconstruction.
When arthritis presents in older patients, the treatment is usually relatively straightforward. Managing the same condition in younger patients, however, can be challenging. Artificial joints have a limited lifespan and the younger patient wants to minimise surgeries and be given treatment more suited to their lifestyle. Mr Saksena brings his experience and interest in biological solutions to hip and knee problems. He will provide some structure around the options available to treat early arthritis in the young, high-demand patient who has disabling pain but is not necessarily ready to have their joint replaced. Attendees will leave feeling well informed and clearer in their mind about what techniques and options are available for their patients, particularly as their patients are increasingly becoming Dr Google.
