The Alliance consists of:

  • British Dietetic Association
  • British Orthoptic Society (TU)
  • Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Federation of Clinical Scientists
  • Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists
  • Society of Radiographers

 

Aims of the Alliance

The aims of the Alliance are to:

  • Maintain the independence of member organisations through mutual co-operation and assistance with regard to industrial relations activities;
  • Assist the maintenance of independent industrial relations negotiating rights with employers for each of the member organisations;
  • Consolidate and facilitate co-operation between representatives and officers of constituent bodies for collective bargaining, Alliance for Health Professionals (AHP), NHS Executive Staff Council and other issues at local, regional and national levels;
  • Develop and maintain high quality services through the best use of shared resources

 

Since its formation the Alliance has grown in both numbers and influence and is now recognised by both management and other trade unions in the NHS as an important grouping for representing the interests of our combined membership, with a major role to play in implementing Agenda for Change and the modernisation of the NHS.
