NHS Together day of action - March 2007
The NHS Together campaign organised a day of action on Saturday 3 March where NHS employees and members of the public joined together to take part in rallies, marches, candlelit vigils and street theatre performances across England and Northern Ireland, from Devon to Cumbria, Gloucester to Sunderland, and from Belfast to Sheffield - all aimed at celebrating and supporting the National Health Service.
The CSP was fully behind the day of action and encouraged members to actively get involved in their local events. A special mention has to go to physiotherapists in Cumbria who, fresh from campaigning successfully against the closure of seven local hospitals, climbed Skiddaw - England's third highest peak - to unfurl an NHS Together banner.
