Student conference

This year's conference will consider the role, relationship and responsibility of practitioners as partners, advocates and public servants. It's open to elected student reps and provides the opportunity for high quality learning and informative debate.

The 2010 conference will be held on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 February at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.

Outcomes

By participating in the conference, student members will:
  • develop a deeper understanding of the external drivers impacting on health and well being services
  • develop a broader understanding of how physiotherapy is currently positioned in the broader political and social context of health and well being services
  • have the opportunity to engage in discursive debate on contemporary issues in health and well being, exploring what patient centred care actually means, the leadership role physiotherapists can play in the 21st century and what the future of physiotherapy should look like
  • be equipped to articulate and explore these issues with their constituency group
  • contribute to the development of a student manifesto that will be presented to the CSP Council in September 2010.

There is no charge to student members to attend this event.
