Move for Health workshops
Get to grips with the public health agenda by coming along to one of four free workshops in March.
The CSP Move for Health team, in partnership with Solutions in Public Health (formerly Public Health Resource Unit), are running free workshops for CSP members in March - one for each of the four UK countries.
The workshops will look at using the competences from the Public Health Skills and Career Framework to describe physiotherapy activity (across all bands and sectors) in the prevention of disease and promotion of good health.
- understand the public health competences and how they are used to capture public health practice
- identify the public health competences that relate to your current practice or service
- develop a shared understanding of how public health competences can be used to articulate the contribution physiotherapy makes to the prevention of disease and the promotion of good health, particularly through physical activity
- identify the related resources and tools you need to support you in engaging with the public health agenda.
Each workshop will run from 10.00 - 3.00 and will provide you with an excellent CPD opportunity as well as giving you the chance to examine the public health aspects of your practice and how this can be demonstrated to a range of audiences, using a UK-wide framework of competences.
Workshop dates
- Thursday 4 March - Edinburgh
- Friday 5 March - Belfast
- Friday 12 March - London
- Friday 19 March - Cardiff
