How Does the Group Support

Continuing Professional Development / Lifelong Learning

ACPOHE moderates the Interactive CSP Occupational Health and Ergonomics site. ACPOHE currently has two accredited skills based courses in occupational health and applied ergonomics. Each course is run over three days. ACPOHE also holds a conference each year, usually in May. Further details of courses and conferences are provided in ACPOHE’s membership packs, the website www.acpohe.org.uk or the interactive CSP site. ACPOHE’s Scope of Practice document provides guidance to members with respect to CPD and developing a CPD portfolio.

Peer support/mentorship
Members are encouraged to communicate regularly with one another via the interactive CSP website.

Members are provided with a membership distribution list that contains all members who are happy for their contact details to be given to other members. ACPOHE’s annual conference is the ideal opportunity for members from all over the country to get together.

Publications
Publications for members include the journal, Occupational Health Physiotherapy, issued three times per year and a member’s pack that contains: Practice Guidance and Scope of Practice documents; guidance on report writing, information about outcome measures, a suggested reading list; an online resource list and details of relevant courses in the UK;

Conferences and study days
Two or three events are organised annually. The annual conference is usually held in May. Further information about courses and conferences can be found on the website www.acpohe.org.uk>. In addition to this further information can be emailed to you by the membership secretary or membership administrator.

Who Can Join

Full Membership is given to interest members of the CSP. Student Membership and Associate Membership for other professional colleagues is also available.

What is Expected of Members

Members are encouraged to comply with the ACPOHE Guidelines for Good Practice in Occupational Health and Ergonomics. Attendance on skills-based courses arranged by the group is recommended for new starters in occupational health and attendance at study days and conferences is suggested for experienced occupational health physiotherapists.

Subscription Details

£35 / year for UK and £40 / year overseas. Members applying after 31 st October will be given membership for the following year.
