Conferences and study days
The MACP Professional Development Committee organises and runs conferences and courses, which are available to MACP members, MACP associates, physiotherapists with an interest in the neuromusculoskeletal field and physiotherapy students. MACP members and associate members have the advantage of reduced rates. Courses are aimed at promoting evidence-based practice, and facilitating the dissemination of the latest research findings. Some courses are arranged for members and associates only. Courses are run throughout the UK to facilitate easy access.

A typical annual programme of events includes: the MACP AGM/conference (which may include international speakers); short courses (usually two-three days); a series of anatomy dissection and biomechanical workshops; a number of evening lectures/workshops.

Members are canvassed for their suggestions for future courses, and are always welcome to join the committee to help organise and run future events.

How does the group promote research and evaluation? Promoting research awareness
The group gives annual awards to members to support research and the dissemination of research. MACP offers reduced conference fees and prizes for best presentations for those taking part in MACP conferences/AGMs. The group also has a database of MACP members involved in research.
