CSP guidelines programme
The Society has closed its guidelines development and endorsement programme to new work whilst it seeks to implement the recommendations of the review of its guidelines programme.
The recommendations of this review will be implemented as part of a project called Supporting Knowledge in Physiotherapy Practice.
For the duration of this project:
- The Society will only provide general support to members who wish to develop physiotherapy-specific guidelines
- The Clinical Guidelines Endorsement Panel will sit for existing work and advise on SKIPP
- Members, or groups of members, wishing to develop clinical guidelines, for endorsement or publication by the Society, are strongly advised to read the Supporting Knowledge in Physiotherapy Practice project description and to plan to submit ideas to the proposed new programme from late 2007
- Members, or groups of members, wishing to develop other evidence-based materials are strongly advised to read the Supporting Knowledge in Physiotherapy Practice project description and to plan to submit ideas to the proposed new programme from late 2007.
Supporting Knowledge in Physiotherapy Practice
The objective of the project is to implement the recommendations of the Guideline Programme Review.
The project will deliver:- An online database - to house completed evidence-based products, signpost to other relevant materials, and demonstrate the stage any work in progress is at
- A framework for members and CSP staff - to enable the production of evidence-based products for physiotherapy practice
- Production of framework - Autumn 2007
- Online publication of pilot database - December 2007
- Transfer of project to ongoing work programme - January 2008
