Rewards, benefits, terms and conditions

All CSP jobs are evaluated as part of our job grade system.

Each grade has 5 incremental points. To ensure fairness and full salary progression new employees usually start at the bottom of the grade.

The review and incremental date for the general salary increase is 1 April each year. Please note that all employees with a start date after 31 January are not eligible for an incremental increase until April of the following year.

In addition to the basic salary, you may be eligible for additional allowances. Employees based at our London office receive a London Weighting Allowance, currently £4,772 per annum pro rata.

Employees based at home receive a Homeworkers' Allowance, currently £1,624 per annum pro rata. All employees receive a lunch allowance of £41.00 per month pro rata. You can choose to receive this monthly or as an annual lump sum, paid in arrears in December.

Our normal office hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. We offer a range of flexible working options, including flexible hours, part-time working, job share, and home working, depending on service requirements. These can be discussed and agreed with your line manager where appropriate.

We offer a range of benefits to staff. These include:

  • Annual leave of 27 days per annum pro rata, plus bank holidays. In addition to this we are closed each year from 25 December to 1 January inclusive. Annual leave increases by 5 days per annum pro rata after 10 years' service
  • Final-salary pension scheme, with employer contributions of 21%
  • Payment while on sick leave of up to a month on full pay, then up to two months on half pay in the first year of service, rising to up to 6 months on full pay followed by 6 months on half pay after 5 years' service
