We ask as many applicants as possible to apply via this system, as it helps to keep our costs down so we can provide more services for our members. It also means that we can keep in touch with you more easily right from the start of the application process.
We do all we can to make the online application process accessible and easy to use for everyone, but if you cannot use our system for any reason you can request an application form by calling 020 7306 6609, quoting the job title of the role you wish to apply for.
Please note that we do not accept CVs as applications. During the shortlisting process we consider the information you provide about your qualifications, previous roles, and most importantly the Application Detail section.
It's very important that you provide clear evidence here that you meet the person specification for the role. The strongest applications provide examples from their previous experience that show they meet each item on the person specification.
We are part of the Positive About Disabled People scheme, which means that we will ensure that any candidates declaring a disability are assessed on the essential criteria of the person specification only. Any candidates declaring a disability who meet the essential criteria for the role will be shortlisted for interview.
After the vacancy closing date all applications received will be assessed against the person specification, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
We will contact you via email or letter within 3 weeks of the closing date if you have been selected for interview. If you do not hear from us by then you should assume you have not been shortlisted.
If you are invited to interview you will be advised via email or letter. This will also advise you of any preparation you should do in advance, such as a presentation, any tasks you will be asked to complete in addition to the interview on the day, and anything you should bring with you to the interview.
You will be asked at this stage to let us know if you have any special requirements to allow you to attend the interview or complete any tasks as part of the selection process. Please note that we are unable to pay for interview expenses.
All interviews are carried out by a panel of 2 or more people. We ask all candidates the same pre-prepared questions, based on the person specification for the role.
After the interview we will advise you whether or not you have been successful via email or letter within 1 week of the interview. If you are unsuccessful you will be offered feedback from a member of the interview panel.
All of our offers of employment are made subject to satisfactory references and to seeing evidence of your right to work in the UK.
Please note that one of your referees should be your current or most recent manager or employer.
